Shock Hill Capital LLC is an asset management firm based in Denver, CO. Founded by Matt Hayden in January 2021. Shock Hill invests globally in publicly traded securities, hedge funds, private equity and venture funds, real estate, and other private opportunities. SHC serves as a family investment vehicle and does not manage outside capital.

Leadership

Matt Hayden is the Founder and Managing Member of Shock Hill Capital. He is also the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Golden Bear Holdings and its related entities.

Matt has spent 20 years in the investment industry. Matt was a Partner at an asset management firm prior to founding Shock Hill in 2021. Over the course of his career, Matt has held institutional sales and trading roles at various Wall Street firms. Matt has served on the Board of Directors for B3C Fuel Solutions and was a member of the outsourced CIO team for a private insurance company.

Matt is a Founding Member of the Friends of Lake Leelanau, a Public Foundation, an Ambassador to Quincy Farm, and supports several organizations such as the Dumb Friends’ League, Mile High Labrador Retriever Mission, and the First Tee of Denver.

Matt graduated from Kent School in Connecticut, received a BA with a focus in Economics from St. Lawrence University, and earned his MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Matt and his wife Amelia have two children and live in Cherry Hills Village.
